Broadcasters from Seven Asian Markets Rely on TVU Networks for a Month of Live Coverage from Nagoya
Bonded 5G transmission, 0% error rate on the first live hit, and an SRT feed other decoders refused

TVU Networks today announced that broadcast teams from Korea, Japan, China, Singapore, the Philippines, India and Vietnam are using TVU systems to deliver a month of live coverage from the major multi-sport event being hosted in Nagoya this autumn. Most of the visiting broadcast teams working the venues are transmitting on TVU.
Behind the coverage is the work audiences never see. Preparations began in late August, with equipment converging on Tokyo from Korea, China and Japan for customs clearance and staging. Over roughly a month, TVU staged dozens of units, applied Japanese Giteki radio certification unit by unit, and delivered transmitters to Nagoya venue by venue — several direct to crew hotels so teams could install on arrival. Bonded 5G SIMs were provisioned card by card, router and smart-traffic features were enabled pack by pack, and standby units were held for the last-minute orders that always arrive. Engineers covered the event on a 24-hour support rotation.
The first live hit went to air one hour after the transmitter was powered up: six bonded links, 0% error rate, a clean picture.
A second result drew particular praise from customers. An incoming SRT feed from the host broadcast operation would not decode on third-party hardware, which misread its frame rate. A TVU transceiver took the same feed as an “External Source – SRT” and locked on the first try. That feed is still carrying competition coverage today.
“Interoperability is not a line on a spec sheet,” said Tim Thorsteinson, VP Sales Asia, TVU Networks. “It decides whether a broadcaster is on air or dark. Our customers had a feed no other receiver in the chain would take, and TVU took it — first try, no workaround. That is why teams across Asia come back to us for events of this scale, and why we invest in local inventory and local engineers in every market we serve.”
Alongside transmitters, broadcasters deployed TVU transceivers for remote commentary and return video, with spare packs on standby throughout. Equipment, connectivity, certification and on-site support were delivered as a single rental package, available to broadcasters across the region.
