TV Centro América, the Globo affiliate in Cuiabá and network head of Rede Matogrossense de Comunicação (RMC), is expanding its operations with technology from TVU Networks. The broadcaster is conducting a trade-in program for TVU One backpacks, in partnership with integrator LineUP, and is betting on TVU RPS One for remote productions with leaner structures.
“We surveyed our park, which is large, and we felt that the TVU product suited us very well. We are continuing with our trading proposal, delivering backpacks with three to five years of use and receiving new equipment. Within the next two months, we will have all the equipment updated, which should result in an even lower failure rate,” says Allex Ferreira, Technology Supervisor at TV Centro América.
Contribution and distribution with TVU Grid
O TVU Grid is also a fundamental part of TV Centro América’s operation, allowing both the contribution between squares and the distribution of the programming signal within the MRC.
The technology works like a hub that interconnects different stations and affiliates, making it possible to instantly share live signals and recorded content. This makes it possible for a story produced in one city to be used in another, or for programming to be distributed centrally, with redundancy and security.
“We use TVU Grid as part of the contribution structure between squares and for programming distribution. I work with main and backup, and the TVU system is one of our front lines. It serves us very well and guarantees the flexibility we need,” explains TVCA’s Technology Supervisor.
In practice, the Grid ensures that Rede Matogrossense de Comunicação operates as an integrated body, with agility to share information and resilience in the face of failures, ensuring that content circulates quickly and reliably between all the group’s broadcasters.
Tests and technological evolution
In January, during the traditional Corrida de Reis, the broadcaster carried out practical tests with the TVU ecosystem, including Producer, Remote Commentator, simulating interviews, external calls and failure scenarios. The results were positive, reinforcing the platform’s resilience and reliability.
“TV Centro América was our first client in Brazil and since then we have built a solid relationship of trust and technological evolution. Today, the broadcaster operates with an end-to-end remote production structure based on TVU solutions, which shows how this partnership has grown over time and continues to strengthen,” says Eduardo Mune, Director of TVU Networks in Brazil and the Southern Cone of Latin America.
