When Kai Cenat brought Streamer University to Hendrix College, more than 150 creators went live simultaneously across Twitch and YouTube. TVU Networks powered the technology behind it 127+ concurrent live feeds, 40+ transmission packs, and a single control room, with no broadcast trucks, no fiber runs, and no cable pulls.

Over six days the event drew 800,000+ concurrent viewers across Twitch and YouTube, peaked at 1.5 million concurrent viewers, and generated 58.3 million hours watched — more than double the inaugural 2025 event and the largest live streaming production in the medium’s history.

The Challenge

Streamer University is not one broadcast. It is 150 of them, happening at the same time, on the same campus, competing for the same spectrum — and every one of them belongs to a creator whose audience expects their feed to look and sound as good as everything else on their channel.

A traditional production of this scale would mean a compound of OB trucks, miles of cable, and a crew in the hundreds. None of that fits a college campus, and none of it fits how creators actually work. Streamer University needed broadcast-grade reliability delivered through the one piece of equipment every creator already carries: a phone.

The Solution: A Phone Becomes a Broadcast Camera

Every participant was equipped with a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra running TVU Go, bonding 5G and Wi-Fi into a single resilient stream using TVU’s ISX transmission technology. 127+ of those feeds were delivered into TVU MediaHub, where they were monitored, switched, and processed in real time on a full multiview wall, then routed through IRLToolkit’s cloud infrastructure and out to Twitch and YouTube over RTMP.

More than 40 TVU transmission packs, including TVU RPS One, were deployed across campus for roaming shots and higher-production moments — the closing ceremony, crowd scenes, and the sequences that needed to move fast and look cinematic.

The Workflow

Beyond the campus itself, roughly 6,000 channels broadcast Streamer University–related content, and clips from the week generated hundreds of millions of views across social platforms — an audience that no single-channel broadcast could have reached.
