TVU Networks Brings Its Cloud Channel Playout On‑Prem – For Just $599.00 a Month

TVU Networks has launched TVU Channel On-Prem, an on-prem hardware version of its cloud-based 24/7 linear and FAST channel playout platform, TVU Channel. The appliance delivers the same scheduling, playlist management, graphics, ad insertion, and multi-destination distribution features as the cloud product, starting at $599/month with no cloud compute or egress fees. It makes its live debut at IBC2026 (RAI Amsterdam, September 11–14, booth 5.B86), demonstrated alongside the rest of the TVU ecosystem, and is designed for broadcasters and channel operators who need data residency, connectivity, or capital-hardware flexibility, especially suited to temporary, seasonal, or event-driven channels.

TVU Channel On‑Prem brings full FAST and linear playout to a low-cost, on-prem appliance, debuting live at IBC2026.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, California — August 13, 2026 — TVU Networks, the global leader in cloud, IP, and AI-powered live video solutions, today announced TVU Channel On‑Prem, a hardware version of its cloud-native playout and channel scheduling platform. The offering will make its live debut at IBC2026 (RAI Amsterdam, September 11–14, booth 5.B86). TVU Channel On‑Prem brings every capability of TVU Channel, the company’s cloud-based 24/7 linear and FAST channel playout solution, onto a single cost-efficient appliance, or onto hardware customers already own.

TVU built the on-prem version in direct response to broadcasters and channel operators who told the company they wanted the simplicity of TVU Channel without being tied exclusively to the cloud. Many customers operate in environments where local infrastructure, data residency rules, connectivity constraints, or existing capital investment in hardware make an on-prem or hybrid deployment the better fit, and they asked TVU to build it.

We had customers ask, point blank, if they could just buy the box,” said Curtis Stanley, VP of Channel Playout at TVU Networks. “That’s exactly what we built. It’s the same Channel experience our cloud customers already trust, running on hardware they control, at a price that makes launching a channel a decision instead of a budget meeting.”

Channel playout, now in a box

TVU Channel On‑Prem packages the full Channel feature set: scheduling, playlist management, graphics, ad insertion, and multi-destination distribution, onto a compact, purpose-built TVU appliance. Customers who prefer their own infrastructure can install the same software directly onto existing servers instead.

At $599.00 a month, with no cloud compute or egress fees, running a channel now costs less than the streaming subscriptions most broadcast engineers already have open on a second monitor. That math is what makes pop-up channels viable: spin one up for a tournament, an election cycle, or a limited-run event, then redeploy the same hardware for the next one instead of paying for cloud capacity sitting idle.

Key details:

  • Pricing: starting at $599.00 a month, with no cloud compute or egress fees
  • Hardware: a turnkey TVU server, or install on a customer’s own server
  • Best fit: temporary, seasonal, or event-driven linear and FAST channels
  • Setup: same operational simplicity as the cloud product; no specialized broadcast engineering required

TVU Channel On‑Prem will be demonstrated live at IBC2026 on the TVU Networks booth 5.B86, alongside the rest of the TVU ecosystem. Meet TVU Networks at IBC 2026.
