(Buenos Aires, April 23, 2026) – Full-service content production company PEGSA and technology provider TVU Networks have announced a strategic partnership to develop a cloud-based remote production model for live sports broadcasting. The first project under this collaboration is the coverage of Super Rugby Americas 2026, with matches broadcast live on ESPN and the Disney+ platform.

This professional rugby tournament runs from February 20 to June 19 and features eight teams from five countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay), competing across multiple venues in the region. A total of 59 matches are scheduled, with 52 produced using a cloud-based workflow powered by TVU Producer, TVU Networks’ live production platform that enables remote management of video feeds, graphics, and switching.

During each match, signals from eleven cameras—including a drone—are transmitted to the cloud using TVU One mobile transmitters. These devices leverage multi-network bonding to ensure stable connectivity and seamlessly integrate into the IP-based production workflow. Once produced, the content is delivered to ESPN, which integrates it into its distribution ecosystem across Latin America, including Disney+.

This production model represents a significant evolution in the region by combining on-site capture, remote production, and IP-based distribution. Through this partnership, PEGSA and TVU Networks are advancing a more agile, efficient, and scalable approach to live production.

The system also unlocks new possibilities for content management and reuse. With TVU Search, TVU Networks’ cloud-based recording, indexing, and search tool, all video feeds are recorded and cataloged, enabling easy access for multiple use cases throughout the tournament. Team analysts can review individual camera feeds to assess opponents and analyze plays, while referees and medical teams can access footage in real time. Additionally, this workflow allows for near-instant creation of digital content for social media and other platforms, maximizing the value of the material beyond the live broadcast.

“At PEGSA, we are constantly looking to innovate and adopt new tools that help us transform and improve the way content is produced. This partnership with TVU demonstrates how technology enables us to deliver high-quality live productions with greater efficiency and flexibility. We are especially proud that such an important competition as Super Rugby Americas marks this first milestone, and we believe it will be the beginning of a long-term collaboration between PEGSA and TVU Networks to continue advancing new production models in the region,” said Sergio Ferraro, Senior Director of Production and Operations at PEGSA.

From TVU Networks’ perspective, the project also highlights how cloud workflows can be developed collaboratively with production teams.

“This was a highly creative process, built together with PEGSA by closely understanding the operational needs and designing a workflow that connects on-site production, cloud tools, and new ways to access content. When technology serves sports, it not only enhances the broadcast but also expands access to information and contributes to the quality of the game,” said Rafael Castillo, VP/GM EMEA and Latin America at TVU Networks.

PEGSA, one of the leading sports content producers in Latin America, delivers more than 27,000 hours of content annually, working with clients such as ESPN, Disney, Netflix, Red Bull, and major international sports federations. The company is led by Agustín Pichot, a global rugby figure and former captain of Argentina’s national team, whose international career has strengthened PEGSA’s connection to rugby and major sporting events.
