Sao Paulo, Brazil — January 13, 2026 — CNN Brazil has adopted TVU Networks’ TVU RPS (Remote Production System) to streamline live signal transport between its studios in Brasília, the capital of Brazil, and São Paulo, the country’s largest economic and media center. The broadcaster replaced a traditional infrastructure based on dedicated links with a fully IP-based remote production solution, gaining a more modern, flexible workflow with significantly lower operational costs, while maintaining synchronized, low-latency video delivery across a distance of more than 540 miles.

The move is part of CNN Brazil’s broader technical and operational modernization strategy, aimed at improving connectivity between its two main news production hubs. With TVU RPS, the network preserved the broadcast-grade quality and minimal latency required for live news, while increasing engineering autonomy and overall operational agility.

Under the new remote production model, cameras and video sources remain in Brasília, while switching and production control are centralized in Sao Paulo. This centralized architecture allows CNN Brazil to optimize resources, reduce infrastructure costs, and maintain full operational control remotely—without compromising signal quality.

Today, the Brasília studios operate as one of the main live contribution hubs for CNN Brazil’s national programming, delivering daily live feeds to São Paulo. This fully integrated operation—spanning more than 540 miles—is powered by TVU RPS, which has become a critical component in ensuring stability, reliability, and efficiency in inter-studio communications.

“We currently run continuous live transmissions between Brasília and São Paulo for up to 16 hours a day, from early morning newscasts through the end of programming. To give you an idea of how much we trust the system, we regularly air complete news content supported exclusively by TVU Networks’ technology. It’s a solution that combines technical robustness, stability, and efficiency,” says Adilson Dolci, CTO at CNN Brazil.

TVU Networks’ technology stands out through its proprietary ISX protocol, which aggregates multiple internet connections and transmits video signals over diverse paths, ensuring synchronized, secure, and resilient delivery—without the need for dedicated links.

The deployment was supported by Brazilian systems integrator LineUp, TVU Networks’ local partner in Brazil, which provided specialized technical assistance and 24/7 support throughout the implementation.

“The adoption of our multi-camera TVU RPS encoder has been a major step forward for CNN Brasil, allowing the network to maintain the quality and reliability that journalism demands, while gaining far greater operational flexibility. This transition reflects a global industry trend toward IP- and cloud-based solutions that improve workflow efficiency and reduce operating costs,” says Eduardo Mune, Sales Director for TVU Networks in Brazil and the Southern Cone of Latin America.

With solutions deployed in newsrooms and live broadcast operations worldwide, TVU Networks continues to expand its presence across Latin America, delivering scalable, cloud-based technologies designed to meet the evolving demands of news, sports, live events, and streaming.
