TVU Networks Corporation, and its subsidiaries and affiliated companies (collectively, the “Company”, “We”, or “Us”), strives to properly address applicable data protection requirements.

SCOPE

This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) provides the individuals who use our services, including but not limited to, our website, with certain important information about how the Company handles their personal data (“Personal Data”). TVU Networks Corporation is the primary data controller for processing of Personal Data.

We want you to understand what information we collect and how we use it. A different privacy policy applies to processing of Personal Data by our Products (including our physical hardware, software, mobile applications, and any other products listed on https://www.tvunetworks.com/products/). We strongly encourage you to familiarize yourself with all relevant policies prior to using our equipment.

TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED

Personal Data processed includes the following types of data:

  • Name;
  • Employment information, including company and job title;
  • Contact information, including email address and phone number;
  • User comments and submissions; and
  • Geolocation data.

We use cookies to collect geolocation data in order to set the relevant language for your location. Cookies are small bits of information that are stored by your computer’s web browser. By using the services you consent to our use of cookies.

PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING, LEGAL BASES,AND DISCLOSURES OF PERSONAL DATA

The Company will use and otherwise process Personal Data of users:

  • To contact and identify relevant users in connection with inquiries;
  • For notification of technical product and service updates;
  • For marketing promotional information;
  • From scanned badge registrations from trade shows and conferences for marketing promotional information;
  • To respond to inquiries and process requests; and
  • To identify users’ location and provide access to the website in the relevant language.

Company’s legal basis to process Personal Data includes processing that is necessary for the Company’s legitimate interests, including those described above to perform contracts between the Company and users, as well as to provide the website in a language that will be most helpful to its users; to carry out marketing promotional efforts or providing customer requested technical and service updates; or based on consent by the users which can be withdrawn at any time by contacting us at the address listed below in the “Contact Information” section without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

Where we need to collect Personal Data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with goods or services). In this case, we may have to cancel a product or service you have with us, but we will notify you if this is the case at the time. If users do not provide us with Personal Data, we may not be able to respond to inquiries and we will provide the website in English. If a user provides the Company with data of third parties (such as a relative, etc.), it is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the communication of such data to, and further processing by, the Company is lawful.

As necessary in connection with these purposes, authorized third-party vendors and limited members of the Human Resources department, the Finance department, the IT department, and senior executive company managers may access and otherwise process Personal Data in connection with their job responsibilities or contractual obligations.  Some of these personnel and third-party vendors are located outside of the EEA, including in countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as the home country of our users.   The Company takes appropriate steps to ensure that such personnel and third-party vendors are bound to duties of confidentiality and the Company implements measures such as standard data protection contractual clauses to ensure that any transferred Personal Data, remains protected and secure. AUTOMATED DECISION MAKING

We use automated decision-making technologies to support our data processing activities. Our automated decision-making capabilities include logic that determines the language most likely to be used in a given location. By using this logic, it helps us provide the website in the language that is most convenient for our users. This means that we access information regarding what language users are most likely to speak.

THIRD PARTY ADVERTISING, LINKS, AND CONTENT

Some of the Services may contain links to content maintained by third parties that we do not control.  We allow third parties, including business partners, advertising networks, and other advertising service providers, to collect information about your online activities through cookies, pixels, local storage, and other technologies. Do-Not-Track Signals and Similar Mechanisms. Some web browsers transmit “do-not-track” signals to websites. Because of differences in how web browsers incorporate and activate this feature, it is not always clear whether users intend for these signals to be transmitted, or whether they even are aware of them. We currently do not take action in response to these signals.

RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal Data will be retained only for so long as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out above, in accordance with applicable laws.

DATA SECURITY AND DATA INTEGRITY

The Company maintains reasonable security measures to safeguard Personal Data from loss, interference, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. The Company also maintains reasonable procedures to help ensure that such data is reliable for its intended use and is accurate, complete, and current.

RIGHTS

Users are entitled, in accordance with applicable law, to object to or request restriction of processing of their Personal Data, and to request access to, rectification, erasure and portability of their own Personal Data.Requests should be submitted in writing  to the address listed below  in the “Contact Information” section.

If a user is aware of changes or inaccuracies in his or her Personal Data, he/she should inform us of such changes so that the Personal Data may be updated or corrected.

Users may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if they consider that Company’s processing of their Personal Data infringes applicable law.

DISCLOSURES REQUIRED OR PERMITTED BY LAW

Regardless of any other provisions in this Notice, the Company may disclose or otherwise process Personal Data in the context of any sale or transaction involving all or a portion of the business, or as may be required or permitted by law or required for the purposes of any regulatory audit to which the Company may be subject from time to time.

UPDATING THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update the Privacy Policy, we will revise the “Effective Date” date above and post the new Privacy Policy.  We recommend that you review the Privacy Policy each time you visit the Services to stay informed of our privacy practices.
