T-Mobile a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2017\/4\/13\/15291496\/tmobile-fcc-incentive-auction-results-8-billion-airwaves-lte\">d\u00e9pens\u00e9 8 milliards de dollars<\/a> au cours des derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es pour acheter 1 500 licences sans fil aux \u00c9tats-Unis pour d\u00e9ployer la 5G dans la bande de 600 MHz (souvent appel\u00e9e spectre \u00ab \u00e0 faible bande \u00bb) autrefois utilis\u00e9e pour la radiodiffusion uhf TV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019acquisition de Sprint par la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 cette ann\u00e9e lui a donn\u00e9 acc\u00e8s \u00e0 du spectre de 2,5 GHz (souvent appel\u00e9 spectre \u00ab interm\u00e9diaire \u00bb) que T-Mobile <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiercewireless.com\/5g\/t-mobile-deactivates-sprint-s-legacy-2-5-ghz-5g-ahead-re-deployments\">r\u00e9utilise pour<\/a> am\u00e9liorer son r\u00e9seau 5G.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les deux autres op\u00e9rateurs sans fil am\u00e9ricains utilisent des bandes \u00e0 ondes millim\u00e9triques (mmWave), le d\u00e9ploiement 5G de Verizon s\u2019appuyant sur des bandes 28GHz et 39GHz et le d\u00e9ploiement AT&amp;T dans la bande 39GHz et les bandes 24GHz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cependant, ce n\u2019est pas toute l\u2019histoire. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiercewireless.com\/5g\/at-t-to-launch-5g-for-consumers-using-low-band-850-mhz-spectrum\">AT&amp;T a d\u2019abord d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 un service 5G en<\/a> utilisant la bande 850MHz et a aliment\u00e9 son d\u00e9ploiement national de la 5G en utilisant la bande sub-6GHz. La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 appelle son service \u00e0 bande \u00e9lev\u00e9e 5G+ et au moins pour l\u2019instant cible les zones \u00e0 fort trafic comme les centres commerciaux et les stades pour son utilisation. AT&amp;T a baptis\u00e9 son service r\u00e9sidentiel de cinqui\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration 5G.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Verizon, aussi, compte sur la bande sous-6GHz pour son d\u00e9ploiement \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle nationale. Comme AT&amp;T, Verizon concentre actuellement ses efforts de d\u00e9ploiement mmWave sur les parcs d\u2019attractions, les stades et autres zones \u00e0 fort trafic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans le ciel, les choses deviennent int\u00e9ressant es. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/5g-in-space-internet-satellites.html\">SpaceX pr\u00e9voit de lancer des dizaines de milliers de satellites en orbite basse pour fournir<\/a> un service \u00e0 large bande 5G. Il n\u2019est pas rare de lire que la 5G permettra de t\u00e9l\u00e9charger un film HD en quelques secondes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce qui reste non dit, c\u2019est que l\u2019instruction est fond\u00e9e sur l\u2019utilisation de mmWave (bandes 24 et 39GHz) pour d\u00e9placer autant de donn\u00e9es si rapidement. Mais il y a un probl\u00e8me avec le service mmWave 5G li\u00e9 \u00e0 la couverture. Pour couvrir une ville, par exemple, il faudra que les antennes 5G soient espac\u00e9es remarquablement les unes des autres.
