Paul Shen
CEO
Paul Shen is an expert in the digital video area and a successful serial entrepreneur. Paul was the founder and CEO at Imedia Corporation, a leader in digital video communication that was acquired by Terayon in 1999. Imedia Corporation delivered the first statistical re-multiplexer, CherryPicker, which played a central role in digital television distribution in cable and satellite TV services. Previously, Paul defined the hardware architecture for General Instrument's first all-digital television system and the first digital high definition television (HDTV) system. He served as a General Instrument representative to the MPEG Committee, where he chaired the MPEG4 Syntax Group and led the effort to define a new object-oriented descriptive language. Paul holds 10 patents. Paul's most recent U.S. company, Open Harbor, where he was co-founder and CEO, provided web-based services for international trade facilitation. Paul has a B.S. from the New York Institute of Technology and a M.S. degree from M.I.T., under well-known professor William Schreiber.
Kap Shin
EVP Business Development
Kap Shin founded Zing networks, an early online photo sharing and rich-media community site that partnered with Hewlett Packard, Sony, Canon, Casio, Nikon, and Konica. Winner of several awards including Forbes Favorite, CNET #1 Photosite, and Fortune Magazine Cool Company, Zing was acquired by Sony ImageStation. After Zing, Kap went on to be CTO at AirPrism, Inc., a mobile device management solution provider. He led the design effort of a new class of enterprise software for mobile device management to allow corporate IT to centrally manage a large number of mobile devices (PDAs, laptops, smartphones) over wireless networks (802.11, GPRS, CDMA). Product recognitions include Planet PDA Product of the Year 2003 and Mobility Award 2004. Kap was also VP of Strategic Technology Sourcing at JPMorgan Chase and Management Consultant at Bain & Co. Kap earned a B.A. in Computer Science from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard.
Dan Lofgren
Senior VP, Business Operations
Dan Lofgren's career spans over 20 years in Silicon Valley high technology companies, first as a software engineer and engineering manager, then as a product manager. He's worked for both software and hardware companies, in Internet services, telecommunications, e-commerce, and digital video, and has also consulted (as owner of Numerate Solutions) on quantitative marketing topics such as pricing and ROI. Dan was most recently VP of Product Management for TVU Networks. Dan spent four years as VP of Product Management at Open Harbor (web services for international trade facilitation); before that, he was Director of Product Management at Beyond.com, an e-commerce company. Dan has a B.S. in Applied Math from Yale.
Chris Bell
VP Customer Support
Chris Bell is responsible for spearheading TVU Network's mission to ensure every transmission from TVUPack is successful. Chris has 22 years of IT support and management experience with a solid reputation for building world class support organizations. Prior to joining TVU Networks, he was Director of Technical Operations for Time Warner Cable, overseeing all IT, Engineering, and Operations for four television channels in three top 50 US markets. Before Time Warner, Chris spent 8 years with Compaq and Hewlett Packard in a variety of management roles and was heavily involved in launching both PCMCIA and 802.11 technology across Europe. Chris is based in TVU Networks' North Carolina office.
David Robertson
VP of Content and Media Sales
Based in New York City, David Robertson brings to TVU networks solid sales and sales management experience, with a strong specialization in media, entertainment and sports spanning the last 20 years. Dave started his career in television, at Cox Broadcasting and then ABC, before joining Turner Broadcasting as VP Sponsorship Sales Turner Sports where he was responsible for all sponsorship revenues, and later VP of Sales CNN Interactive. Most recently David was Director of National Media Sales for PGA Tour.com and VP of Sales at Collegiate Images. David is a graduate of Northwestern University with a BA in Communication.

Thanasis Delistathis
Thanasis, Founder and Managing Partner of New Atlantic Ventures, is an experienced investor and advisor with 11 years experience coaching growing technology companies. Since 2000 he has invested, advised or served on the boards of a dozen portfolio companies, including Mobile365, DivX, Induslogic and QMobile. Prior to joining New Atlantic, he led investment banking for Thermo Electron Corp., a $4 billion global advanced technology company serving the life sciences and measurement and control markets. In addition, Thanasis has served as a senior executive in early-stage companies and also worked for McKinsey & Co. in Washington, D.C. as a business strategy consultant for management at Fortune 500 companies. Thanasis has a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering and a B.A. in Public Policy from Princeton University, and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
Byung-Pyo "B.P." Kim
B.P. is Chairman and CEO of Juwon, Inc., a commercial real estate development firm based in Seoul, Korea. He also serves as a Trustee of East Asia Institute, a prominent research think-tank in Korea and previously was a Standing Director of Infra Korea and Executive Director of Pan Pacifix Corporation. He holds a B.A. from Harvard University and M.A. and M.Ph. in Economics from Columbia University.
Han Kim
Han Kim is a General Partner and co-founder of Altos Ventures, focusing on investments in the areas of software and business services. He also concentrates on companies with significant business in Asia, leveraging the firm's substantial contacts in the region, particularly in Korea. Han currently serves on the board of Blogcocktail, Bluehole, Lohika, OutSpark, Pandora.tv, Provade, Nable Communications, SeeControl, Spicus and TVU Networks, and works closely with DemandTec and Vesta Corporation. He also led the firm's prior investments in Instill (acquired by iTradeNetwork), Digital Market (acquired by Agile Software), Evant (acquired by Manhattan Associates),and iOwn (acquired by Citigroup).Before founding Altos Ventures in 1996, Han worked at Booz Allen & Hamilton solving strategic and operational issues for global media, retail and distribution companies. Previously, he was at Procter & Gamble. Han also served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Han served two years in Korea, commanding both U.S. and Korean soldiers.Han received an MBA from Stanford University and a BS in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Robert Earle
Robert is Vice President at JPMorgan Chase in the Strategic Sourcing Group. Previously, he was CEO at Dexterus, a Financial Services ASP that provided data center and software services to financial institutions in London. Robert was also a Managing Director at Pricewaterhouse Coopers where he co-founded the Outsourcing Practice and led the US and Europe Practice for Procurement Outsourcing. At Pepsi Cola Company, he was Senior Industry Manager and managed a $1 billion supplier portfolio. Early in his career, he served as a Lieutenant Commander for US Navy, Submarines. Robert's academic degrees include: B.S. in Physics & Engineering, Washington & Lee University; Nuclear Engineering, US Navy; and M.B.A., Harvard Business School.
Helge Petermann
Helge is a Director in the Business Development team of Capital Dynamics. Helge has over 13 years of experience in financial advisory and corporate finance working with US and international clients. Before joining Capital Dynamics, Helge was a director in Equity Capital Markets with Rothschild / ABN AMRO Rothschild and held various investment banking positions with Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley in New York. Helge earned his MBA from the Columbia Business School and holds a diploma in Business Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences.
Jerry Solomon
Jerry is President and CEO of Star Games. He has been one of America's top sports marketing executives for more than 20 years. Following his graduation from Columbia University in 1978 with a Master's degree in International Business, Jerry was recruited by the Colgate-Palmolive Company to serve as its liaison to the men's and women's professional tennis tours. In 1980, he moved to Washington D.C. and joined ProServ, the second largest sports marketing and management company in the world. He was named Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of ProServ in 1987 and was elected President in 1990. He left ProServ in 1994 and moved to Boston to launch StarGames, a sports and entertainment marketing, management and production agency.
André V. Mendes
As Global Chief Information Officer for Special Olympics International, Andre is responsible for all strategic and operational aspects of the global organization's information technology, Internet and media infrastructures. Previously, André was responsible for developing and implementing technology strategy in both Broadcasting Engineering and Information Technology divisions of the Public Broadcasting Service. He oversaw the daily operations of PBS's entire technology infrastructure. Mr. Mendes had previously served the organization from 1998 to 2001, as Chief Information Technology Officer. He also served as Chief Operating Officer at Pluvita, Inc. a Bethesda, MD based biotechnology and bioinformatics startup. In May 2001, Andre was named by Computerworld magazine as one of the "Premier 100 IT Leaders" in the U.S and more recently, was named the "2006 IT Executive of the Year" for the Mid-Atlantic region, bestowed a "2006 Mid-Market Leadership Award" by CIO Decisions magazine and a "2005 Technology Leadership Award" by Broadcasting & Cable Magazine. He is a co-author of the critically acclaimed "CTO Leadership Strategies" from Aspatore Books and an internationally recognized leader in the convergence of broadcasting, IT and new media technologies.
