TVU Networks Broadcasts the Economic Summit 2007 LIVE --
Conference Sessions from Microsoft's Silicon Valley Conference Center go from Local to Global

(Mountain View, CA – November 7, 2007) – Presented by the Cal State East Bay Small Business Development Center, the Technology and Innovation sessions of the Economic Summit 2007, are presented this year in partnership with Microsoft Corporation, IDEO, Cisco Systems, and Fast Company.

For the first time this year, the Technology and Innovation sessions being held at Microsoft's Silicon Valley Conference Center on November 8th will be available live on the Internet, for free.  Powered by TVU Networks' live broadcasting technology, The Economic Summit 2007 sessions will be opened up and available to anyone with a broadband Internet connection.

Unlike typical Internet video broadcasts that use older and costly streaming technology, TVU uses its core broadcast technology called Real-time Packet Replication (RPR).  With RPR, broadcasters can reach global audiences through a single broadband connection.  The bandwidth required to broadcast does not increase with the number of viewers, as all the viewers watching cooperate and share packets to give each other the best possible signal.

According to Cal State East Bay SBDC Director Raj George, “We have an impressive roster of celebrated participants at this year's Technology and Innovation conference.  Presenters include members of Yahoo!, Google, Microsoft, Nokia, and leaders from the venture capital world, academia and the local political community.  Thanks to the technology of TVU Networks, we are able to further the reach of ideas and innovation coming from these industry leaders to a wider audience.”

TVU networks CEO Paul Shen states "We are excited to be bringing The Economic Summit 2007 live to a global viewership.  It is the hope of TVU that conference organizers around the world will recognize the value, and leverage our technology in a similar way to broadcast their future conferences live with TVU."

To access the live broadcasts, viewers can go to the website of the Economic Summit 2007 at http://www.economicsummit2007.org/media or to Channel 9009 on www.tvunetworks.com/channels, or via the free downloadable TVUPlayer software.
