RUSSIA’S NATIONAL SPORTS CHANNEL RELIES ON TVU NETWORKS VIDEO TRANSMISSION PACKS FOR LIVE COVERAGE OF SUMMER GAMES

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – August 30, 2016 – TVU Networks, a technology and market leader in IP-based live video solutions, announces that Russia’s National Sports Channel, Match TV, relied on its video transmission technology for extensive coverage of the Summer Games. The station had seven ENG crews in Rio using TVU equipment throughout Games, which took place August 6-21.

The National Sports Channel produces sports broadcasts for Russia’s federal television channel within the country and abroad. The station first started using TVU Networks equipment in 2013, when it began relying on the TVUPack TM8100 mobile uplink solution. Leading up to the Rio Olympics, Match TV purchased three new TVU One mobile newsgathering solutions. The video transmission packs were used to shoot live stand-up videos and interviews throughout the Games in stadiums, press mixed zones, and scenic environments around Rio, including beaches and high viewpoints.

“The biggest benefit we find in using TVU Networks technology is the mobility that it allows,” said Kirill Kolomyts, Head Producer of International Broadcast, Match TV. “With the ability to do live transmissions from almost anywhere at any given time, we have unlimited possibilities. In general, we’ve found ourselves relying on TVU equipment more and more. In fact, Match TV’s news department has been using TVU technology on a daily basis for live broadcasts.”

Having been the national representative of the XXII Winter Olympic Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014, Match TV is familiar with the complexities and challenges that can come with covering world-class sporting events. The station sent a production team of 130 people to Rio to get the job done, and TVU Networks equipment provided Match TV with reliable video transmission technology that didn’t let them down during the Games. It also removed the need for costly SNG equipment.

“Our TVU technology made our jobs easier in Rio,” Kolomyts explained. “We are very happy with the reliability and performance of our TVU mobile newsgathering packs during the Summer Games.”

SET EXPO 2016: TVU NETWORKS TO SHOWCASE FULL LINE OF IP BASED LIVE VIDEO SOLUTIONS

Leader in IP Video To Introduce New Synchronized Multi-camera Remote Production System and Cloud Applications To Brazilian Broadcasters

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – August 16, 2016 – TVU Networks, the global technology leader in live IP video solutions, announces it participation at the upcoming SET Expo in São Paulo, Brazil. The company will showcase its new synchronized, multi-camera remote production system, TVU RPS, and Cloud-based workflow solutions for live video, TVU Command Center and TVU Alert. TVU will also demonstrate its award-winning TVU One portable newsgathering video transmitter. The show takes place August 30-September 1 in the Red Pavilion at Expo Center Norte, and TVU Networks will exhibit in STI Telecom’s Booth, D-108A.

TVU RPS is a cost-effective alternative solution for live, remote, synchronized multi-camera news and sports coverage. The award-winning system debuted earlier this year at NAB, and eliminates the need for expensive and complex mobile truck use for production of major sporting and broadcast events. TVU RPS enables the production of a live, multi-camera program in a remote location using mainly a broadcaster’s existing control room in their studio and a public Internet connection from the field. The TVU RPS transmitter encodes up to four synchronized SDI sources and transmits high-quality and low-latency IP video from the remote location to a studio-based TVU receiver, as the receiver outputs four synchronized SDI outputs. With TVU RPS, broadcasters can utilize in-house production staff and equipment at the studio, saving significant cost in producing a remote, multi-camera live shot.

TVU Command Center is a cloud-based solution that allows central management and control of all TVU transmitters, video receivers, and services within a group of televisions stations from almost anywhere.

TVU Alert is also a cloud-hosted service that makes it quick and simple to send mission-critical alerts, such as breaking news, anywhere throughout a news organization. Together, they help broadcasters get to air first with live video from the most important breaking stories.

TVU Networks’ TVU One mobile uplink transmitter is a compact solution that delivers high-quality IP video transmission performance. It features TVU Networks’ patented Inverse Statmux Plus (IS+) transmission algorithm to transmit dependable HD quality video with less than one second latency through multiple transmission mediums, including cellular, satellite, microwave, MIMO Mesh, WiFi, Ethernet and BGAN. With TVU One, broadcasters can leverage the versatility that a small, lightweight IP video transmitter brings in the field, without sacrificing performance, feature functionality or picture quality.

TVU Networks provides a full portfolio of video-over-IP solutions designed to give broadcasters innovative, flexible and reliable tools to acquire live video content from anywhere and distribute it to anywhere. Already in use by hundreds of leading broadcast organizations around the world, the TVU Networks family of IP transmission solutions gives broadcasters and organizations a powerful and reliable tool to distribute live video content to broadcast, online and mobile platforms.
